Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, checked the operation of the Gorevsky Mining and Processing Plant in the Motyginsky Municipal District of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The company is implementing a project to increase the volume of lead-zinc ore processing. This initiative is included in the KIP "Yenisei Siberia".
Vladimir Guriev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Alloy Mining and Metallurgical Company (the main shareholder of Gorevsky GOK and Novoangarsky Processing Plant), said that the GOK produces up to 4 million tons of ore per year. The Gorevsky lead-zinc deposit on the Angara River is being developed in an open-pit manner. The ore is extracted selectively and transported by dump trucks with a lifting capacity of up to 130 tons. The quarry is 2.2 km wide and 185 m deep. The consumers of the products are not only Russian, but also foreign metallurgical plants, including enterprises in Kazakhstan and China.
An important topic of the meeting between the head of the region and the management of Gorevsky GOK was the discussion of the draft layout of Novoangarsk, the village where the plant's main facilities are located. Vladimir Guriev presented a plan for the renovation of housing and the construction of social infrastructure facilities. The company will allocate 150 million rubles for these purposes.
Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory: "It is no coincidence that the presentation of the village development project was held at the Novoangarsk House of Culture. Built by the combine for its 50th anniversary, the recreation center became the center of attraction for the residents of the settlement. There are children's music and art schools, dance clubs. This is one of the examples of business social responsibility."
In addition to the construction of a recreation center, other social infrastructure facilities were built or modernized in Novoangarsk at the investor's expense: two 24-apartment buildings, a sports hall and a stadium, a park and a monument to fallen soldiers in the Great Patriotic War, a monument to pioneer geologists, an administrative building, a water intake and utility networks were modernized.
